Our client, a leading-edge biotechnology company based in East London, is seeking a talented Research Assistant to join their dynamic laboratory team.

About the Role:

You will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of vital clinical trials by processing samples, conducting a range of assays, and analysing data. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to the development and validation of new assays while working closely with a collaborative team of experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing sample processing and analysis in accordance with strict quality standards
  • Conducting assays including qPCR, cell infectivity, and serology
  • Maintaining a clean and organised laboratory environment
  • Adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
  • Contributing to the development and validation of new assays

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree in Virology or a related biomedical science
  • Proven experience in techniques such as tissue culture and qPCR
  • Strong understanding of GCP and experience working within a clinical trial environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
