Summary
The South West London Procurement Partnership came together on 1st April 2021 as a new single procurement service acting directly on behalf of; Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, Epsom & St. Helier NHS Trust., Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and St. George’s NHS Foundation Trust whilst also providing services to the wider South West London integrated care system. The new service is hosted by St. George’s NHS Foundation Trust.
The purpose of the new service is to deliver better outcomes for partners through delivery at scale benefits for patients, staff and the wider health economy. The creation of the South West London Procurement Partnership is a critical foundation in developing the common infrastructure that will enable the wider place-based and system-level transformation in patient care which is at the heart of all 4 Trusts’ strategic aims; and support increased financial sustainability.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the service and to play a crucial role in realising our objectives.
We are looking to recruit a Catalogue Manager to work in the Data & BI Team.
The successful candidate will be required to Increase, manage and maintain e-Catalogues for goods and services to optimise automation in the procurement process and within this, keep up to date supplier and product information.
• Increase and maintain e-Catalogue coverage of purchase order transactions.
• Maintain and actively use systems for collecting, evaluating and interpreting large volumes of intricate data on Service expenditure and supply markets.
• Validate and maintain Service eProcurement catalogues
• Assist the Head of Data, Business Intelligence & systems to maintain and develop department communication programmes that includes internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the continuous development of the integrated strategy for the Service suite of procurement systems including eProcurement, eTendering, eContract Management and eVendor Management.
St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's principal teaching hospitals and our main site is shared with St George's, University of London, which trains medical students and carries out advanced medical research. Assisting in the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective procurement
function that meets the requirements of the SWL Procurement Partnership NHS
Services’ overall strategic direction and corporate objectives and complies with SFI’s
and relevant procurement legislation and guidance.
To utilise internal and external data sources that support the identification, delivery
and monitoring of Service and collaborative procurement projects, risk management
strategies and departmental performance.
Assist in defining, creating and maintaining management information data streams
that track, monitor and identify tendering opportunities and contract improvements.
Assist in providing market driven data advice and guidance which defines the
commercial and financial viability of differing sourcing options for specific projects.
Analyse regional / local data including data on expenditure, demand, specification
and supplier information and feedback analysis to stakeholders and project teams.
Work with the procurement team to create information and analysis reports that will
track the benefits of existing contracts.
Assist the procurement team to identify future trends and contract development
opportunities for all category groups.
Provide management information and data reports to ensure compliance with NHS
Improvement’s requirements.
Increase, manage and maintain e-Catalogues for goods and services to optimise
automation in the procurement process.
Develop and manage internal communication activities that involve, engage and
inform staff of procurement initiatives, improvements and benefits.
Shared responsibility to develop and manage the departments intranet and internet
sites ensuring that content is useful up-to-date, accurate and consistent with Service
policies and EU law.
Shared responsibility to design and deliver procurement training to Service members
involved in varying stages of the procurement process.
Shared responsibility to monitor eProcurement user activity ensuring targeted
solutions are provided to avoid downstream queries.
