Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available within the breast imaging department at St Georges University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated radiographers with an interest and a UK recognised qualification in mammography to join our hard working and friendly team in this busy Breast Imaging Unit.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. You must be comfortable working under pressure, ‘multi-tasking’ and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams.
The strongest resource we have is the team, who are enthusiastic, friendly and highly skilled and comprise Radiographer's ,Assistant Practitioners Radiologists, Breast Care nurses and Advanced Practitioners. This is underpinned by a commitment to continuing professional development for all staff and actively encourages involvement in training and audit.

This post includes involvement in breast screening clinics at St Georges Hospital and the 6 satellite screening units around South West London along with participation in Assessment and Symptomatic clinics. It is therefore essential that you are able to travel to any of these sites and are resident within reasonable travelling time of both St. George’s Hospital and our remote site locations.
You must hold a UK recognised Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography. We are housed in a purpose built facility, providing a light, modern environment from which to deliver a fully digital service.

• To work in the specialist field of Breast Imaging for the screening, detection and investigation of cancers.
• To assess and manage own specialist workload of clients/patients ensuring an excellent standard of technical expertise and care for the clients/patients at all times, giving advice and guidance where appropriate.
