About the Role:

Liverpool City Council is seeking experienced interim Project Managers to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ambitious and varied capital programme. This role involves managing a range of projects, including schools and leisure centres, with values ranging from £0.5m to £20m+. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager who can hit the ground running and help deliver projects that make a positive impact on the city, its environment, and its residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of projects, working closely with Sponsors and Users.
Prepare business cases, definition briefs, and project delivery strategies.
Act as the Client Project Manager on projects, managing multidisciplinary teams.
Prepare and manage project budgets, financial reports, programming, and project planning, including risk management plans.
Prepare consultancy briefs, procure and manage consultants and service contracts.
Conduct site visits and oversee the delivery of buildings from inception to completion across all RIBA stages.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:

Proven track record in delivering buildings from inception to completion.
Experience acting as a Client Project Manager for large-scale or complex projects.
Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts.
Proficiency in procurement and appointment of specialists, including design teams, cost planners, external PMs, and CAs.
Knowledge of the planning application process and development management.
Relevant qualifications: RICS/RIBA/CIOB/APM and a Project Management Qualification.
Ability to undertake site visits as required.
Work Arrangements:

The role requires 4-5 days per week commitment, up to 6 months.
Based in pleasant Liverpool Council offices on the Waterfront.
Office presence is required 3 days a week, with home working possible on other days.
Working hours are from 09:00 to 17:00.
