An opportunity has arisen for a Help desk operator to join an inclusive and value driven public sector organisation with an outstanding organisational culture. We offer free car parking, a generous pension and generous annual leave.

The Helpdesk Operator’s role is to provide first-line support for all ICT-related queries and issues, ensuring a professional and customer-focused service. The role will include monitoring key elements of the ICT infrastructure, such as network, storage, and security, and escalating issues according to best practice policies set by the Business Support Manager.

For those who are already operating at a Grade 5 level, you will provide first-line support for critical communications and complex network, software, and hardware issues, demonstrating second-line technical knowledge. You will offer insights for improving efficiency, assist in the planning and development of ICT systems, and provide limited second-line support as part of the three-tier support process.
An involvement in project work will also be essential, as will the development of user based instructional guides.
The role will allow the successful candidate the ability to develop, train and progress through an established career structure. The successful candidate should therefore have Level 3 qualification in a computing related subject or demonstrable evidence of the appropriate level of experience and have completed a ITL foundation level or have a willingness to undertake this.
