Summary


Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Head of Service to lead and be responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient Property Engineering Service which meets the demands of the Trust and operates within Trust guidelines and budgetary restraints to drive forward the delivery of services, maximising both value for money and service strategies.

This is a senior role within the organisation and the post holder is responsible to the Director of Fleet and Estates for the operational management of the Trust Estate. They must coordinate and manage the delivery of Trust building and engineering services and ensure that building and engineering maintenance and minor works are carried out to appropriate standards and specifications.

The role is responsible for ensuring that the Trust’s land and property assets are safe, secure, compliant and fit for purpose, and for ensuring that financial resources are used efficiently and strategically to maintain a fit for purpose and functional estates and facilities service.

The role requires the management of the Facilities Management Team Management team and all facilities management contracts and the postholder is required to engage with key stakeholders ensuring that operational estates services fully support Trust service aims and clinical strategies and are delivered within budgetary and time constraints.

This role is a Senior member of the Trust’s multi disciplinary Fleet and Estates team and the postholder is required to provide other team members, where required, with guidance and support in elements of their roles that relate to the operational management of the Estate and consulting/involving team members regarding decisions which impinge upon their functional areas.
