Summary
• We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who will help to support patients with suspected or diagnosed urological cancer.
• This post holder will be an individual who is confident in working autonomously but also works well in a team.
• You are expected to work across sites- (St Georges Hospital and Queen Mary’s Roehampton).
• If you are reliable, hardworking, flexible, self-motivated and can demonstrate excellent communication skills, then this position could well be for you.

• To work closely with the Uro/Oncology CNS team in supporting patients to navigate the early stages of a suspected cancer through to diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
• To provide support and information in the outpatient and inpatient setting.
• To provide holistic care and health promotion for the patient.
• Performing holistic needs assessments and liaising with the multidisciplinary team.
• The primary purpose of the Macmillan Support Workers is to support people in navigating the complex health and social care system during and following the completion of cancer treatment.
• The post holder will coordinate care by providing a single point of access, including rapid re-entry into the system for those identified as having urgent or specialist needs, and coordinate care, education, and support for people with non-complex care needs.
