We are seeking a passionate and creative Assistant Marketing Manager to join our team and support our marketing campaigns across all channels.

As an Assistant Marketing Manager, you will play a vital role in the pub marketing team, assisting with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions. You’ll be a creative marketer with excellent organisational skills, able to manage and prioritise your workload effectively. This role involves engaging our target guests through various on and offline promotions, partnerships, incentives, and in-pub activities. A willingness to travel around the South West to work closely with our area managers and pub teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • With the development and implementation of the pubs' brand marketing plan, driving campaign initiatives and creating marketing materials to engage guests and drive sales.
  • Work collaboratively with operations teams, spending a significant amount of time out in trade to support events and campaigns at a site level.
  • Support the delivery of the overall pubs' brand proposition, including food and drink menus, entertainment, promotional materials, and other marketing collateral.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing partners and third-party drinks suppliers for event and brand engagement purposes.
  • Maximise key brand partnerships and sponsorships, spanning PR, digital, social, and branding.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of events across St Austell Brewery’s managed pub estate in collaboration with the sites' teams, including scoping event proposals, budget estimates, and timing schedules.
  • Assist the marketing manager with key campaign deliverables, such as photography shoots, advertising promotions, and partnerships.
  • Help coordinate consumer research and customer feedback to inform the direction of portfolio brand plans and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Generate brand-specific PR in collaboration with the comms team.
  • Work with internal and external teams, such as print and digital agencies, to develop plans in line with the pub marketing strategy. Manage timings effectively, communicate key deadlines, and ensure projects are executed as planned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A dynamic and organised marketer with experience in both traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing and brand plans.
  • Excellent storytelling skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for hospitality and the Great British pub.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills, actively contributing and building relationships within the team and wider business.
