The Tregothnan Estate is a large private rural estate, and a private family home with a world-renowned botanical garden and woodland. The Estate has a team of maintenance, gardening, forestry and joinery employees that maintain the core estate and manage the beautiful surroundings which are on the edge of the River Fal. The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced tractor operator for the Home Estate, who will work alongside the Maintenance, Garden and Forestry Teams, and be responsible for care and maintenance of the in-hand agricultural and amenity areas and parkland, including all aspects of deer management.
Duties include:
- Maintenance of the in-hand agricultural land, which includes parkland and amenity areas.
- Driving and operating a tractor, sidearm attachments and grass care equipment principally, as well as other agricultural trailers and implements.
- Assisting the Maintenance, Garden and Forestry Departments, as well as agricultural and groundwork contractors when necessary.
- Management of deer and parkland.
About You
You will need:
- Previous experience with agricultural machinery, including experience in hedge trimming, verge cutting and mowing.
- To be highly motivated, well-organised, and able to take direction.
- A willingness to work outside in all weathers.
- Keen attention to detail.
- To be proactive with a flexible approach to work.
- Experience with livestock.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport to travel to and from work, as we are in a rural location, with no access to public transport.
