Your new company
This company is a privately run business based within Angus and looks after contracting projects up to the valuation of £1m. With deep-rooted connections in the local construction industry, the client has a busy order book at present and for months to come. Project types include renovations to community buildings, roofing contracts, luxury/bespoke extensions and new build commercial projects. The vacancy presents an opportunity for an individual keen to develop a long-term career with accessible training resources & support from your direct reports.
Your new role
Across Aberdeen, Angus & Dundee, you will work within a hybrid working model (3 days in office or on site / 2 days from home), and control all commercial functions on contracts you look after including weekly reports, month end reports, dealing with payments, budgeting, procurement of sub-contractors etc.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have experience working as a lead surveyor on contracting projects within new builds, renovation/redevelopments & reactive maintenance projects. With obvious progression opportunities within this business towards managing surveyor and beyond, you will have an ambition to progress your career in main contracting surveying. You will have previous experience of working independently whilst collaborating with wider team members to achieve deadlines on time, working with operational teams to ensure projects are on budget & making profit.
What you'll get in return
The salary on offer is in the region of £60,000 basic + car allowance.
