Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Pest Control Operative to join our Environmental Health service on a permanent basis.

Position Details
The postholder will join a team of Pest Control Officers and contribute to the provision of the pest control service within Environmental Health (including covering dog warden duties when required).
Duties will include:
- Planning and carrying out site visits/inspections,
- Providing advice to the public, businesses, and other stakeholders,
- Investigate complaints and service requests,
- Liaise with other services and organisations.
Experience in the pest control or allied industries, and a current driving licence are essential requirements of this role.
Officers are provided with all required PPE, ongoing training and have access to a Council van which they may use for home to work travel.

Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 37 + 2.5 hours contractual overtime per week
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, with weekend standby service provision on a rota basis
Annual Salary: £22,961.65 - £24,494.21 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,018 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,088 per annum.
