This is an outstanding opportunity to join the MOD Civil Service, working alongside Royal Marines, providing support to Amphibious training and trials for new equipment to meet Defence outputs. Located at Royal Marines Instow and operating out of Zeta Berth, this role is varied, rewarding and exciting. Continuous Amphibious Readiness is one of the Royal Navy’s key outputs. 47 Commando Raiding Group Royal Marines (47Cdo (RG) RM) delivers support to the Commando Force’s amphibious capability. Within 47 Cdo, 11 Squadron, based at RM Instow, enables this through the trials and development of amphibious equipment that is at the forefront of Commando Forces, delivering specialist amphibious training on a variety of vehicles and boats to project and sustain forces from the sea.

The Craft Maintenance Supervisor guarantees that we can meet our objectives by ensuring all the equipment documentation and corrective maintenance of craft that is crucial to meet the demands of Zeta Berth and wider Squadron. This busy, interesting and critical position is vital to enable us to deliver current and future operations in a safe and efficient manner.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
