Summary
Working closely alongside both clinical and operation teams, MDT Coordinators are responsible for collating the necessary information for each patient to determine next steps on the clinical pathway and where necessary prepare, attend, and capture MDT meeting outcomes. Please note: this role does not involve direct contact with patients but everything that is done in this job role has the patient at the centre and has an impact on their Suspected cancer pathway. The role also involves the collection and input of audit data, in line with the national dataset requirements (data captured by the MDT team, once validated, is used by NHS England to inform the public, politicians and central government of the trusts performance against national cancer waiting times standards).
