Summary

Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. It also aims to disrupt the organised criminal groups that exploit the vulnerable for their personal gain. Learn more on the Immigration Enforcement careers page.

Do you meet the key eligibility criteria?

In order to be eligible, you MUST meet ALL the following criteria.

  • I am at least 18 years old at the time of application.
  • I am a UK National.
  • I hold a full manual UK Driving Licence.
  • I will need to undertake and pass a medical assessment if successful.
  • I am aware that this role is physically demanding, and that I have a high level of mobility and fitness to carry out this role.
  • I can undertake shift work.
  • I will be able to provide all the ID documents required to complete my pre-employment screening and security clearance.

We will provide you with full and comprehensive training which will enable you to carry out this worthwhile and varied role. You will need to undertake and pass a Pathway Programme of training if successful. Subject to training pathway availability, our new starters will be required to commence a shift working pattern before training begins.

As an Immigration Officer, you will work as part of a team of Officers, undertaking a range of interesting and varied activities linked to our aim of reducing harm and protecting the public from harm. This role is physically demanding, and you will need to have a high level of mobility and fitness to carry out this role.
