Summary


The core purpose of this team is to:

• Deliver Postgraduate Medical and dental education

• Assure and manage the quality and improvementof education and training, meeting regulator standards

• Deliver statutory responsibilities defined by the Medical and Dental Act including acting as Responsible Officer for Doctors in Training

• Provide clinical & professional leadership to education and training policy, regulations, standards,reformand delivery

• Assure the quality and improvementof education and training. 

• Focus on addressing the gaps in the workforceacross medical roles, professions, healthcare pathways and geographies through education and training. 

• Deliver and co-ordinate of nationwide commissioned, education and training programmes.

• Recruit, manage and distribute education and training that requires nationwide delivery,coordinationand oversight.

• Maximise the use of digital, technology and innovation in the delivery of education and training.


Learner Support & Faculty Development (LSFD) contributes to the provider governance responsibilities of the regional Postgraduate Dean in ensuring learners meet legal requirements and standards. LSFD supports postgraduate doctors and dentists in training to remain in work, progress in their careers andultimately toprovide the best patient care. 

The ProgrammeSupportAdministratorroleis vital to our core activities.The successful candidate willbe responsible foroffering administrative support for multiple workstreams to ensure that a portfolio of tasks is planned,managedand deliveredeffectively.


This position is currently a hybrid working arrangement with up to 3 days per week face to face at Stella House Newburn Riverside. 

• To co-ordinate and take responsibility for theorganisation, delivery and evaluation of educational workshops and events.

• To be the first point of contact for any queries relating to the Learner Support and Faculty Development team, understanding the support mechanisms in place and how to deal withdifficult situationsand conversations.

• Responsible for keeping up to date financial records, liaising with suppliers and finance teams and providing regular updates to the Senior Business Manager.

• To coordinate the administration associated with annual reports involving collation of quality assurance data from various sources, analysis of the same and production of reports.

We are looking for a professional with demonstrable initiative andprovencompetence inmanaging the directorate communication channels, minute taking and team coordination.To excel in this role, excellent communication andprioritisationskills arerequired.

An understandingof working in the NHS, robust attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach, is essential. Support to develop existing skills will be provided. A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoftpackages, including Outlook andExcelwill berequiredwhen recording and manipulating data, budget planning andorganisingmeetings.
