Job Summary:
Reporting to a Senior Engineer, the Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for producing the
Engineering deliverables for a work pack / sub-system or small project.
Outline and Responsibilities:
- Producing technical solutions to complex engineering problems (may involve project or sales work), this can include concept design, detailed design, calculations, analysis and technical reports / documentation
- Take ownership of the tasks assigned through to successful delivery within the specified time, budget to the specification and required quality standards
- Take direction from Lead / Senior Engineer and Product Technical Lead where required
- Ensure that design practices / guidelines / Royal IHC Ltd processes are followed
- Any duties as directed by your line manager or a director of the company
- For project deliverables may report (technical/ delivery) to a Lead Engineer with delegated authority from a Senior
This role may involve national and international travel.
About You:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
Experience and Qualifications:
- Engineering Design and Development experience demonstrated over 2-5 years.
- As a minimum, educated to an Engineering Degree level ( B Eng or M Eng)
- Member of recognised Engineering body (e.g. IMechE) or working towards this
