We have a fantastic opportunity to gain a Level 3 Livestock Unit Technician Apprenticeship on an innovative farm in Ashton, Helston.

Tresowes Farm is a family run dairy farm in Helston milking 240 cows robotically on an all-year-round calving system processing milk on farm, with the majority supplied to Rodda’s (clotted cream).

For the Level 3 Apprenticeship we are looking for candidates who may have already completed an agriculture apprenticeship at Level 2 or have some farming experience already. A driving license would also be an advantage. There are opportunities for permanent employment and further development following the Level 3 Apprenticeship Qualification.

The farm operates a variety of hours will require flexibility. Contracted hours will be dependent on the business needs.

The main duties will include but are not limited to:

Tractor and machinery work

Cleaning and maintaining robots

Calf feeding

General yard duties

Monitoring livestock health and welfare

Monitoring supplies stock e.g. livestock feed etc

Picking out late cows for the robot

Working with the internal and external team

Essential entry requirements for the Level 3 apprenticeship are Maths and English qualifications at grade 4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 and some farming experience.
