Apprenticeship Qualification: Level 3 Engineering Technician
Expected Apprenticeship Duration: 42 months.

Serco are recruiting for Rotary Apprentices (x8) to join their team at RNAS Culdrose. As part of this apprenticeship, you will be working towards your Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering ‘Technician’ qualification. You will be carrying out the duties of an Aircraft Engineering Apprentice (by Trade) across both on Aircraft areas and Off Aircraft Workshops facilities (by Trade) as directed by the Training programme.
Full training for everything will be provided.
Day to Day you’ll be involved in:


- Co-operate and follow as directed by their Line Management all Health and Safety and Environmental matters, policies, and procedures.



- Attending college 2 days a week.



- Learning practically and on the job tasking.



- To undertake all further training courses necessary to your job are attended as required and as directed by their Line Management.



- Day to day learning of becoming an Aircraft Engineer.



- Remain flexible and carry out any other tasks within capabilities and experience in support of the Contract as directed by the Contract Director or their representative.





Essential skills needed to do this apprenticeship:


- Maths Grade B or 5/6.
- English grade C or 4.
- Be able to commute to College and RNAS Culdrose daily.
- To complete the required levels in each academic year to continue to the next academic year.
- To complete all Serco essential mandated training each year.
- To be certified Yellow Belt by end of Year three of Apprenticeship programme.
- Comply with the Royal Navy Support and the Serco Management System and all the regulatory engineering articles.
