Summary

The Library is looking to recruit a fixed term Research Data Manager to help lead and deliver a range of services associated with Research Data Management (RDM).

This varied role has primary responsibility for the day to day running of the Research Data Management service within the library, including developing and delivering training, responding to researcher queries and management of the institutional data repository. There is also significant scope to lead on projects to develop the Research Data Management service further including review of RDM services across the institution and disseminating the latest developments and practices within the sector.

You will have significant opportunity to contribute to both Open Research projects but also wider library and university projects and initiatives. It plays a significant role within the research process and there is scope to collaborate with other key stakeholders, including Research and Development, Information Governance, Information and Security Services as well as the researchers themselves. It offers a brilliant opportunity to develop a range of skills, including technical knowledge, project management, developing training materials and networking and collaboration.

In addition, the post holder will become a SafePod coordinator, to help manage bookings of this secure data facility.
