The German Kindergarten London is a German - English bilingual nursery with settings in South East and East London. We believe in learning through play close to nature and strive to create an environment where children learn and have fun in a playful way.
Job description
The German Kindergarten is looking for qualified (Level 3 or higher) and experienced new colleague who is passionate about Early Years, languages and outdoor learning. You would be working with a lovely and small team in a nature inspired environment.
This job opportunity is full time, working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
We are not specifically looking for German speaking staff and welcome everyone to work in our small and welcoming team. The right candidate is open and comfortable to work in a predominately German speaking environment and is willing to learn some German on the job. Existing German knowledge is a bonus.
This job opportunity is for a permanent position.
Expectations:
- Be responsible for the delivering of our 'learning through play’ educational ethos.
- To work according to the EYFS requirements.
- Plan and carry out activities and challenge children's learning and development.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with parents
- Promote child welfare and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Act as a key worker and keep records or children’s development .
Key Qualifications
• Previous experience working with children (ideally as a nursery practitioner, nursery nurse or similar)
• Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or higher)
• A passion for education
• Lots of motivation and enthusiasm
