Job Title: Streetworks Administrator

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum

Hours: Full Time, 8:00 – 16:00

Location: Green Lane Walsall



The Role

As the Streetworks Administrator, you’ll be supporting the Streetworks and Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance with all
aspects of legislation relating to traffic management and permits. From running reports to processing payments, you’ll be helping
to ensure that when we undertake work in the highway, we’re compliant with legislation every time. You’ll need to be able to
effectively plan, prioritise and organise your workload, and have an eye for detail to ensure compliance against Streetworks
legislation.



* Owning the charges aspect of the Streetworks function – analysing and processing all payments associated with Streetworks,
inclusive of fines, permit fees, and traffic management spend.
* Support the Streetworks and Compliance Manager in all aspects of Streetworks administration, working to weekly deadlines
Support the Planning Teams with Permit submissions
* Reconcile charges as part of our quality framework to ensure that spend is fair and on track against budget.
* Run daily reports to circulate with Planning and Field Teams to proactively identify all works outstanding and manage against
SLA status e.g. works coming to an end that may need a permit extension.
* Run weekly reports to identify, analyse and process any charges from Councils.
* Continuously monitoring communication between local authorities, internal and external Stakeholders regarding defects, S74 over
runs, S81 Defective Apparatus and general queries.
* Support the Streetworks and Compliance Manager in attending Council meetings and providing updates on our performance and plans
to improve, etc



What You’ll Need:

* Excellent attention to detail with strong time management skills
* Experienced in works management systems is desirable
* Efficient problem-solving skills
* Desirable, but not essential: working knowledge of NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Act 1991)
* Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communicator with the skills to translate messages across a broad range of stakeholders i.e. Local Councils
* Proactive self-starter capable of working independently during non-business hours
* Prioritisation skills to meet deadlines and manage work streams efficiently
