Your new role
You will be joining our experienced and well-established finance team, working with our existing Finance Assistants and Management Accountants.
Purpose of the Role:
Maintain the purchase ledger for a portion of their suppliers.
Maintain the sales ledger and associated credit control.
Working alongside our existing Finance Assistants and Management Accountants in the finance team, you will be responsible for relevant financial processes and systems whilst making sure company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Key responsibilities and duties -
Maintain the purchase ledger for a portion of our suppliers
Checking invoices, inputting onto a bespoke order system and onto Sage.
Reconciling balances to supplier statements, resolving disputes.
Ensuring suppliers are paid on time.
Depending on experience, maintain the sales ledger for our small trade business, including for credit customers: Ensure credit checks are performed, credit limits set and adhered to.
Importing daily sales onto Sage.
Sending statements to customers, chase as required.
Inputting cash receipts into the sales system and Sage.
Depending on experience, assist with payroll inputs and processes.
Ad hoc tasks as required by business.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Performed a similar role for 2+ years. AAT qualification qualifications are advantageous.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- To be able to build and maintain positive relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds.
