We have an exciting opportunity for a values driven, organised, and detail orientated qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) to join our Development, Asset Management and Sustainability team. South Yorkshire Housing Association has over 5000 properties across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and North-East Derbyshire. The Project Officer will conduct EPC assessments for our housing stock across the region and will be primarily based within the communities we serve.

We are looking for someone who can help us collect, update, and manage the energy data across our portfolio so that we can systematically work towards retrofitting our homes to EPC C by 2030.

More about the role:

You will be working directly with our Programme Lead – Sustainability and will play a key role in mapping out the retrofit journey of our housing stock. You will primarily be based in the community conducting energy assessments in our customer’s homes and will be responsible for planning and arranging your own appointments. In a wider context, you will be supporting our staff and customers achieve SYHA’s ambitions of getting our homes to EPC C in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.

Who you are:

An accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (e.g. Elmhurst) with at least one year of experience in the built environment
Organised, self-motivated individual with strong diary management skills
Thorough, detail oriented and accurate when handling data
Able to communicate with a broad range of individuals effectively
Take a professional and values driven approach
