Summary

Administrative Officers carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court or provide support to other functions within the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.


We are looking for a new staff member to join our busy court in Kirkcaldy on a temporary basis were you will be working within the Civil Department.


Commissary Check, process and deal with Commissary and related Small Estate procedures within 48 hours.
Prepare granting of confirmation, certificates and extracts within 3 working days of acceptance.
Ensure that commissary is issued within 3 working days of acceptance of competent inventories, ensuring that the SDT statistics are updated
Ensure that the quarterly commissary return is undertaken and to advise civil HEO once completed to allow this to be sent to MIAT.
To check and process all Dative Petitions ensuring they are published on the Walls of Court and thereafter grant same.
Attend at public counter, deal with telephone queries and assists with duties as allocated by supervisors and to deliver a high quality service to all customers in line with the Courts Charter.
Deal with correspondence/enquires from justice partners and solicitors
Deal with other incoming mail as appropriate by post, DX, Email or on the ICMS portal.
Processing and distributing incoming mail to colleagues which comprises of writs, summonses, simplified divorces, enquiries and other documents when opening mail ensuring that documents are date stamped


This role is full time working until the end of March 2025.
