Summary
Here at Principal Resourcing, we are seeking to appoint a caring and friendly Learning Support Officer to join one of our Specialist Provision Schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire from September 2024. You will be provide full-time support for SEN pupils with a range of learning needs to meet the needs of the provision.
The Alternative Provision School offer specialist support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. The School aim to improve the life chances of young people for whom mainstream education is unsuitable. Staff work hard to provide all students with an alternative educational experience that offers them a nurturing, safe and supportive environment.
You will become part of a diverse, qualified and experienced staff team, delivering highly personalised learning programmes and supporting students to accelerate their academic, social and emotional skills development and ultimately enable them to re-engage with learning within a mainstream setting. The curriculum creates valuable opportunities to nurture our students' resilience, self-confidence, self-esteem and self-belief.
We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100 per day, depending on experience.
We are seeking a candidate with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Previous SEN experience is desirable.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
