Summary
We are looking for a Trainee Site Supervisor to represent the interests of both Mitie and the client by checking that project co-ordination, communication and the quality of both materials and workmanship are per the project requirements.
You will undertake site attendance during works on site to oversee the H&S during the construction/works phases (a blend of in hours and out of hours working). The Trainee Site Supervisor will work alongside the Site Supervisor during the induction and prequalification period to support and learn how to induct operatives, arrange welfare arrangements, and manage, and assess any potential safety hazards on site to eliminate them. They will also conduct a regular site inspection and support the production of a safety programme whilst working closely with the 3rd party on-site managers/supervisors.
As the Trainee Site Supervisor, you will coordinate with site management to filter duties down to the team, conduct work accordingly to industry health and safety standards and ensure the safety of all site users, visitors, staff, and contractors at the site.
The ideal candidate will d be in possession or willing to work towards additional relevant qualifications (valid CSCS card / SSSTS certificate) within 8 weeks of the commencement of the role as well as the ability to work as part of a team and understand and carry out instructions.
You should be able to work as part of a team and carry out instructions and have a willingness to learn on the job. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work cross functionally and in a matrixed organisation with a flexible approach to working hours. You will have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. A strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability is essential. You must hold a valid full UK driving license.
