Grade: TA2/3 (TA2 £13.49 to £14.18 or TA3 £13.95 to £17.07 an hour) / Relief Teacher M1 (£153 a day)Hours: As and when required
Start date: As soon as possibleThe Chase is looking for a suitably qualified individual to cover lessons using the work set by the regular teacher and have a flexible approach in being able to support Teaching Assistants, who is enthusiastic, innovative casual Curriculum Supervisors and/or Relief Teachers to join our team of casual workers. These roles would be ideal for a highly organised, flexible and resilient person who can adapt quickly, challenge and support learners of all ages in a range of skills, be able to adapt to and deliver the plans of a wide range of subjects.
The Successful candidate should be able to:
- Cover lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher
- Supervising the delivery of cover work by effectively communicating the work to pupils
- ensuring the at the required resources needed to effectively deliver the covered lessons are available
- managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work to ensure a positive learning environment
- Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
- Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policy and procedures
- Collecting completed work after lesson and returning to the appropriate teacher.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Highly adaptable as there is no regular timetable
- Be confident, organised, flexible and calm under pressure
- Have experience of working with young people or teaching
- Patient, flexible and creative
- A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and and progress of everyone at the school
