Summary

We’re looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Production Operative to join our busy team within our manufacturing site.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining hygiene standards within our toilets, office area and factory floor. You’ll also be responsible for some basic maintenance and repair, which could consist of painting designated areas and some general grounds work such as grass cutting/hedge trimming. You’ll also undertake some customer deliveries for which you will require a full driving licence, as well as loading and unloading duties. As your duties may fluctuate, you’ll also be required to cover some operator requirements which could be performing manufacturing tasks producing timber components such as support rails, headboards, sub assembly of beds/furniture.

You’ll have experience of working in cleaning, manufacturing, stores and warehouse and have a basic knowledge of Health and Safety including COSHH. You should be able to use basic hand tools, such as drills, screwdrivers, sanders, chisels and be able to undertake the operation of machines such as saws (rip, bandsaw, chopsaw) sander, drills, moulders, spindle moulders. However, we aren’t always looking for someone who ticks every single box we’re looking for someone who has relevant experience in a similar field of production.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake assigned duties in a cost effective manner through possession of recognised skills for several basic operations relevant to area
Willing to participate in training and development to enhance skills and progress in employment.
To ensure immediate working area is safe, clean and tidy


Skills and Experience
Experience of working in a commercial environment, e.g. manufacturing, stores, requiring a range of skills and processes.
Experience in completing production paperwork
Knowledge of quality standards and procedures.
Knowledge of basic Health and Safety requirements and regulations.
Commitment to participate in agreed training programmes and to gaining an appropriate qualification.
