Summary

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER, CHANGING FUTURES, NOTTINGHAM, PERMANENT, 22.5 HPW, FRWK04 £22,011 FTE (PRO-RATED RATE OF PAY £13,385.067 PER ANNUM)
What is Changing Futures?
Changing Futures exists to improve the lives of people experiencing Severe and Multiple Disadvantage (SMD) in Nottingham City.
Severe and Multiple Disadvantage (SMD) is generally considered to be an experience of three or more of the following sources of disadvantage simultaneously: mental health issues, homelessness, problematic substance use, domestic abuse and contact with the Criminal Justice System.
The frontline delivery team is made up of Navigators and Specialist Navigators (working with minority groups and survivors of domestic abuse), a Housing Led Team with caseworkers, and embedded practitioners. There is also a Lived Experience Team, dedicated Peer Mentors and an Experts-by-Experience Board.
Underpinning the frontline work, there is a Learning and Evaluation Team and city-wide learning resources via the Nottingham-based Practice Development Unit; all of which is overseen by a dedicated System Change Commissioner.
The administration officer post holder will be expected to maintain all administrative tasks and, where appropriate, develop new systems for effective working.
Values statement as written by members of the Expert Citizen Group
““We are looking for someone that can clearly demonstrate a number of important values. They need to be non-judgemental and understand the power and importance of kindness and showing respect in order to receive it. They need to be able to put themselves in the shoes of the people that the Changing Futures programme will be supporting and be committed to seeing the person and not the label. They also need to be committed to challenging inequality, understanding that inequality and experience of discrimination can have a big impact on a person’s life and on how they engage with services and the support available. They need to be willing to listen in order to really hear and understand people’s experiences, their views and ideas. They also need to have a real desire and willingness to learn and grow, with a commitment to their own personal development. Overall, we are looking for someone that is clearly passionate about improving the lives of people that face severe and multiple disadvantage and who can use that passion to bring about change.”
Changing Futures has a diverse team, and we positively encourage applications from all communities.
