Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 2 Technical & Enforcement Officers to join our Community Standards & Enforcement team on a permanent basis.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

If successful, you will join a team of existing Enforcement Officers providing and advice and guidance to city residents on appropriate methods of waste disposal, along with undertaking investigation of fly-tipping and inappropriate disposal of waste.

You will undertake foot patrols, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and take enforcement action. Previous experience of enforcement, dealing with conflict situations, and a current driving licence are desirable. Excellent communication skills and IT skills are essential requirements of the role.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 35

Work Pattern: Monday - Friday

Annual Salary: £22,961.65 - £24,494.21on an incremental scale

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual working context & demand (WCD) payment of £861.
