• The Trust is committed to supporting Newly Qualified Nurses and Nursing Associates.
• An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the Education and Development team at St. George’s to lead on training, education, practice support and professional development of all newly registered nurses and nursing associates.
• The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the continued personal and professional development of newly qualified nurses and nursing associates with particular emphasis on the support offered in transitioning from student to registered professional.
• The post is a full time and would be ideal for those seeking experience in education and can be offered for a 12-month secondment if preferred. Come and join a friendly close-knit team for an opportunity to develop your career and support registrants in the clinical area!

• Work clinically on a regular basis alongside nurses within clinical practice to support transition into clinical teams.
• Assist with the facilitation of training, education, practice support and professional development of all newly registered nurses and nursing associate.
• Develop and utilise innovative teaching styles to enhance skills, optimizing and standardising high levels of patient care delivery.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate training to Preceptors.
• Ensure newly recruited nurses are familiar with eLearning resources such as the Nursing Times and eLearning for Health eLearning modules.
• Apply NMC, Capital Nurse and national guidance to maintain an effective Trust Preceptorship Programme.
• Work with staff in practice to ensure that new registrants have an appropriate local induction with information available for Preceptees and that a range of appropriate learning opportunities have been identified.
• To explore and expand the learning opportunities for newly qualified nurses using creative and flexible learning methods and resources e.g., eLearning modules and simulation.
