Summary

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, motivated and experienced radiographer to co-manage the day-to-day operations of the CT department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. This position is one of two Band 7 Radiographers who will be expected to jointly manage the day-to-day CT operations, reporting to the CT Lead Radiographer. The working hours are 8.45am - 5pm Monday to Friday, with optional evenings and weekends.

The CT Department has 2 Siemens Definition scanners and performs a variety of inpatient and outpatient work including oncology, vascular, CTC, nerve root injections and biopsies. There is no A&E Department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Both scanners are undergoing a refreshment programme, and will be replaced in early 2026 with leading edge technology.

Location – The internationally renowned St. Bartholomew's Hospital, which is in the heart of the City of London, accessible from several nearby transport links including St. Paul's, Barbican and Farringdon Tube stations, and City Thames Link station.

Come and join our friendly and supportive team of Radiographers, where continuous professional development is encouraged. In addition, you will have the opportunity to use your initiative and to widen your skills and experience. We offer a full range of local and specialist services, which includes centres for the treatment of cancer, heart conditions, fertility problems, endocrinology and sexual health conditions. The hospital includes the site of the new state-of-the-art Barts Heart Centre.

The successful candidate will have good general radiographic experience, along with extensive CT experience. You will also be resilient, flexible and able to demonstrate leadership and clinical supervision skills. A post graduate qualification in CT would be desirable, or willingness to undertake one. The post holder will work as part of the senior team, and this role involves a mixture of clinical and administrative work.

Applicants for this post must hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or the Diploma of the College of Radiographers and HCPC registration.
