Summary
PA for 16 year old teenage boy with cerebral palsy, LS8 @12.40hr
Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: fbcd4bb0
We are looking for a pal for our 16 year old son with cerebral palsy.
He is non-verbal, wheelchair dependent, fed through a feeding tube, dependent for all cares and has well controlled seizures.
He has a good sense humour and loves socializing. He enjoys, walks, long baths, shopping and having books read to him.
His care worker will need to be fun and enthusiastic. They will need to be able to engage and entertain a non-verbal teenager and support him to socialize with others including his siblings. They need to be able to take him for walks in his wheelchair (battery powered motor pack available).
We are seeking a care worker who is punctual, reliable and has a degree of flexibility. We are specifically looking for someone who is available weekends Saturday and Sunday mornings 9-12 approximately for getting him out of bed, dressed, bathing and activities such as going for a walk or a ride on the bus. This could be one person both days or job share depending on availability.
His care worker must be able to give feed through a feeding tube or be willing to be trained to do this. It is desirable though not essential for them to be able to give medication via a feeding tube as well. They will need to be able to work independently providing all cares, including personal cares as required.
We will only consider applications with a cover letter or candidate profile specific to this post. We look forward to hearing form you. Many thanks.
