Summary
SEPTEMBER START - 32.5 HOURS
8:30 AM TO 3:30 PM | MONDAY – FRIDAY
WEEKS/YEAR: 39 WEEKS – TERM TIME ONLY (INCLUDES INSET DAYS)CONTRACT: FIXED TERM – 1 YEARWe are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and inspiring individual to the role of Re-Engagement Officer. The successful candidate will re-engage those pupils who disengage with lessons by working with families and staff to implement support strategies.
St Alban’s is a mixed 11-16 Voluntary Aided Catholic School in North Torfaen. We are a Catholic community which strives to uphold strong spiritual and moral values so that our pupils can be the best they can be. Estyn stated in December 2015 that we have been successful in securing strong outcomes for our pupils and that they have a strong sense of community and show a high level of respect, care and concern for others.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• High standards of communication and interpersonal skills;
• Experience of working with SEN children;
• A calm and consistent approach;
• A supporting and encouraging manner with young children and an ability to inspire trust;
• The ability to work as part of a team;
• A highly motivated and enthusiastic work ethic.
