Summary

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities To complete all Assistant Practitioner clinical competencies required for the role; footcare, debridement, casting, wound management, triage, nail surgery assisting. To provide foot care treatment to a designated patient group as determined by a senior podiatrist. To work within a variety of clinical settings including multi and single chair community and hospital clinics in both in and outpatient settings across the county, where required. To undertake patient screening, prepare patients for treatment by the podiatrist, assist under the direction of the podiatrist in minor nail surgery and perform and record appropriate diagnostic tests. To work alongside the Podiatrists in the management and treatment of active diabetic foot problems including updating records, taking down dressings, redressing, application of casts where directed and administrative support for ordering investigations. To work within the Podiatry team, assisting in podiatry care plans and responsible for aspects involved in the running of the service including stock ordering and audit. To provide any required appropriate administrative duties including completion of clinical record, clinical monitoring and ordering of stock and supplies. *DVLA have a number of reciprocal arrangements with overseas countries, for further information please visit the DVLA website
