Summary
Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include but are not limited to:-
Providing assurance that MDP IT systems are fully complaint with the relevant policies (inc JSP 440)
Providing first point of contact for MDP regarding cyber and information security.
Being responsible for providing assurance to the Chief Officer Group and the Wider MOD of the effective cyber and information security management.
Ensuring that any security breaches are correctly reported and investigated via the WARP.
Being responsible for the creation of SyOps for new systems.
Being responsible for cyber security policies.
Managing the cyber security of all non-MODNet systems, ensuring all non-MODNet systems are recorded on an asset register and maintaining the asset register.
Being responsible for the approval, allocation, review and disposal of all portable media – USBs, DVDs etc, - and logging who is in possession of said items, carrying out regular dip sampling to ensure compliance with policies.
Providing security advice to any installation staff and end users of IT systems
Liaising with contractors to ensure any maintenance is carried out without compromising security.
Develop an understanding of and be involved in the Secure by Design process.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
