Summary
IT Business Services Manager
£60,000 to £70,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid working)
We're looking for an IT Business Services Manager to join our Enterprise Services team in Manchester to help drive and deliver great service improvements, outcomes, and colleague satisfaction plans. In this role you'll work in a hybrid way - splitting your time between home, the office, and occasionally travelling to some of our food stores located across the UK (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As an IT Business Services Manager at Co-op you'll provide service-related governance, guidance, and assurance to senior colleagues across our growing B2B channels, franchise partners, and independent societies. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting our exciting growth plans and future ambitions; helping us to achieve our vision of 'co-operating to build more value for our member-owners every day'.
What you'll do
- Support our plans to scale our B2B offering delivering successful end-to-end services across multiple channels (e.g. wholesale, franchise, partnering etc)
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery activities and manage any service-related issues including escalations
- Identify and explore continuous service improvement opportunities; making sure we always take a 'service first' and collaborative approach in our processes and ways of working
- Carry-out monthly and quarterly business service reviews
- Be responsible for service governance and assurance; including presenting information to internal and external partners
- Provide input into the overall service strategy and roadmap based on customer feedback
- Act as the link between IT and B2B offerings for service
- Contribute to growing our community of practice for our Enterprise Service teams, sharing your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external partners
This role would suit people who have
- Experience in a Service Manager or Project Manager role
- Experience successfully building and managing positive relationships with external partners
- A solid understanding of business strategy, with the ability to deliver service-related outcomes
- Good communication skills, with the ability to translate technical language for a non-technical audience
- Good relationship-building and supplier management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively
We know that some candidates are less likely to apply for a role if they don't meet all the criteria in the job description. At Co-op, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive working environment, so if you'd like to apply for this role but your experience doesn't quite meet every point, we'd still encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for the job or other roles we have available.
Why Co-op?
As a Co-op colleague, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services). You'll also get:
- Private healthcare
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- YuLife - an app that rewards you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for your favourite brands

We'll ask whether you'd like to be considered under the Disability Confident scheme when you apply.
If we invite you to take part in the recruitment process for any of our jobs, we'll ask you if you need any reasonable adjustments to enable you to participate.
