Summary

Job Description

Working as part of Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability’s City Parking the Car Parking Manager, reporting to the Group Manager (Parking Services), will manage the Council’s 7 Multi-Storey car parks and 9 Off-Street Surface car parks and have line management responsibility for a large team including responsibility for all associated Health and Safety matters.

You will have responsibility for car parking income streams and associated parking products (parking machines, cashless payments, permits/season tickets/POD cards/validations/top-up cards) and related contract management.

You must have a minimum of an HND in a Business Management, Finance or Technical subject or significant relevant experience.

It is essential you have knowledge of car parking service delivery, operations, and legislation.

You must have experience of managing and motivating a team to improve service delivery, managing budgets, have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to communicate on different platforms with a range of stakeholders.

A full valid driving licence is also essential.

Contract management experience, membership of a professional institute and previous experience with car parking systems/technology, including ANPR barriers and CCTV is desirable as is knowledge of the Council’s Transport Strategies.
