Further details about the role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed part time Teacher of Music to join the team at Hampton Gardens on a permanent basis. This is a part time 0.6 FTE position. Exact days to be worked can be discussed at interview.



The role of the Music Department is to work hard to ensure that all students feel safe, secure in their learning striving to achieve academic excellence. The team is made up of two members of staff, supported by visiting peripatetic and Peterborough Music Hub teachers. The department is well equipped with modern, well-maintained facilities.



Students follow the Educas GCSE syllabus, with post-16 courses available via the shared Sixth Form at Hampton College.



The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular music opportunities. Within Music these include a range of lunch clubs, a student and staff band and school performances in conjunction with the Drama and Dance teams. Students are able to access woodwind, strings and brass lessons after school with external peripatetic teachers.
