Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for



Promote the school’s aims positively, and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale;



Ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs



Develop good personal relationships within a team;



Establish and develop close relationships with parents, governors and the community;



Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences;



Create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment.



Ability to lead and support TA’s effectively to support children’s learning



Ability to deal sensitively with staff, parents and pupils



What the school offers its staff



• staff meetings are only 1 hour and other CPD is creatively planned into the school working-day through Team Meetings and a supportive coaching model
• a wellbeing day for staff who demonstrate commitment to supporting school related activities such as discos and PTA events
• a ‘live marking approach’ which emphasises the importance of in the moment feedback as part of lessons
• regular release for subject leaders to support their subject leadership
• PPA at home
• shared team planning within a 3-form entry primary
• an SLT which is supportive and are streamlining systems and processes to reduce unnecessary paperwork and workload.

Commitment to safeguarding

We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. School will be alert to signs of abuse/neglect and will follow Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Children Partnership Board’s procedures to ensure children receive appropriate effective support and protection. Schools will contact Children’s Social Care when they have reasonable cause to suspect a child may be suffering/likely to suffer significant harm. Staff in school with responsibility for child protection (Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead) carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the law and are acting in the best interests of all children.
