Summary

A Vacancy at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

The Adult Day Programme provides care and treatment to patients who are working on recovery from an eating disorder addressing patients’ physical and mental health needs.

Patients attend in person, 4 days a week for intensive recovery focused treatment and 1 day remotely for reviews with the MDT. Patients engage in a full group programme and have supported meals as part of the daily structure. Patients are community patients and chose to attend treatment, working with the team to support their full engagement in the programme.

The day programme provides a step up to support to avoid inpatient being required or as a step down to support earlier discharge from inpatient beds. The successful candidate will work as part of our specialised multidisciplinary team to provide effective, evidence-based and holistic patient-centred care.

The post holder will work as a member of the day programme multidisciplinary team that provides care and treatment to patients who are working on recovery from an eating disorder addressing patients’ physical and mental health needs.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the wider service, including working across the different teams; day programme, inpatient ward and outpatients service. The post holder is responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care/services to patients as part of an eating disorders day programme team, working under the direct supervision of a registered member of staff.

The post holder will provide supportive care management to a caseload of patients, as delegated by the team manager or registered practitioner. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out practical tasks, including physical monitoring, supported meals and facilitating groups, identified as part of the patient’s care plan. The post holder will receive clinical supervision as appropriate and partake in reflective practice/training on a regular basis.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

Welcome to the Children & Young People's Day Programme, which is part of the Vincent Square Eating Disorder Service (VSEDS).

Who are we?
The team consists of a wide range of disciplines including nurses, OT's, other Allied Health Professionals, and Doctors. We work closely with the other services within VSEDS to ensure we have high standards of care and to ensure support can be offered through all stages of treatment.

Where are we?
Our main base is in Chelsea (next to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital). Thanks to the NHS influence many local cafes, restaurants and bars give discounts ranging from 10-20% to all NHS staff.

We're a short walk or bus journey away from tube stations and the neighbourhood is friendly and welcoming. We look forward to welcoming you to our team and helping you to grow. If you have any questions about us and the role please get in touch.
