Summary
Security Event Steward
Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment and ensuring the safety of others? Are you a people person with a keen eye for detail? Then an Event Security role might be perfect for you!
As a Security Event Steward, you'll play a vital role in keeping people safe and secure at a variety of exciting events, from concerts and festivals to sporting matches and conferences. You'll be the first line of contact for many attendees, so a friendly and professional attitude is key.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and security of event attendees, staff, and property
Maintain a visible security presence through patrols and access control
Check tickets and direct attendees to entrances
Monitor crowd movement and identify potential problems
Respond to incidents and emergencies following established procedures
Provide customer service and answer questions from attendees
Conduct security checks, such as bag searches, to prevent prohibited items from entering the venue
Report any security concerns or incidents to supervisors
Assist with crowd control in the event of disruptions
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
Key Skills:
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Observant and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Calm and assertive under pressure
Excellent physical fitness and stamina
First aid certification (preferred)
Security Industry Authority (SIA) license (in some regions)
