Job Overview
-Front Of House Security Officer
Main Duties
-To ensure that you read and adhere to the requirements detailed in the Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
-Greet and assist staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner both in person and while answering the reception desk phone.
-Maintain a visible presence at the front entrance, deterring potential security threats through proactive observation and engagement;
-Assist in the coordination of special events or functions, ensuring proper security measures are in place;
-To provide the highest level of customer service ensuring that all persons either visiting or working at the site are treated courteously and professionally at all times.
-To manage a work environment that adheres to the Health & Safety procedures and policies of Mitie and the client ensuring a duty of care to all persons on the site.
-To ensure that a detailed handover of your post is carried out when being relieved, without exception.
-To respond to all incidents and follow escalation procedures by directing the activities of your team and other staff employed on the contract.
-To continually strive for personnel development, and support management strategic implementation.
-To continually support new initiatives and contribute towards the development of the site in the drive to establish ‘best in business' practices across all Mitie locations.
-Ensure that you attend site at least 15 minutes prior to commencement of shift, thus ensuring the site contract staffing requirements are met (In line with AI's).
-To undertake any mandatory training required on the contract and ensure that you proactively manage your own development plan with the shift manager.
-To actively promote a team ethos ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service standards to internal and external customers.
-To act as an ambassador to the client organisation ensuring that their business is represented accordingly in all the duties undertaken by you.
-To be available at short notice to cover sickness or shortfall
What we are looking for
-A minimum of one year's security experience, working within a corporate environment is essential.
-Proven experience in a similar security or customer service role.
-Experience working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
-Excellent communication skills are essential, both written and oral.
-Excellent observation and problem-solving abilities to identify potential security risks and respond appropriately.
-Demonstrate proactive and professional approach to security.
-Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
-Excellent time management skills.
-Smart and presentable.
Professional Qualifications/Education:
-Front Line SIA licence in Security Guarding
-CCTV License (desirable)
-First Aid (desirable)
-Customer service experience
-Excellent time management.
Working hours and pay:
-£15.38 per hour
-48hrs - Dayshifts
