We are currently looking for a Technical Scheme Lead within our Global Seafood business who will be responsible for the day to day running of a range of NSF Certified Seafood and Aquaculture schemes. In this role you will act as technical advisor for clients, auditors, and other internal staff, reviewing technical reports and conducting certification decisions where necessary. You will also ensure that adequate resources are maintained for certification activities, which will include the onboarding, training, and calibration of our team of auditors.

Principal accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Daily oversight and management of the Seafood Schemes such as Marine Trust, BAP Program, MSC CofC under NSF Certification or one of our other Seafood Schemes.
- Development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Seafood Schemes.
- Carrying out Technical Reviews for Marin Trust and other Seafood Schemes as required (Global Gap, BAP, ASC).
- Auditing to Scheme standards as required.
- Collaborating with the other Seafood Technical Scheme Leads to ensure adequate Technical Cover and Technical expertise across our Global Seafood Team.
- Working with our Global Local Teams to advise them of technical requirements.
- Manage the Key Point Indicators (KPIs) for the program and ensure the quarterly KPI reports for the program are within the required KPIs.
- Experience in Accreditation Management and Scheme rules to ensure we meet the KPIs and ensuring the on-time delivery of Schemes.
- Team lead for the CB Management, Technical and Calibration Team members.
- In the absence of any Technical and Calibration Team members, review facility and final reports when submitted by auditors. Conduct the Decision of Certification if necessary.
- Technical advisor for the program with auditors, senior management, client services.
- Working with the Quality Team to ensure due diligence and technical governance for Seafood and participating in internal and external audits to assigned schemes as required, including participating in the review and response to audit findings to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated experience in Aquaculture, Seafood Related Business, GFSI Scheme Standards, Accreditation under ISO 17065, Audit Procedures and Processes
- Seafood HACCP Certification (AFDO approved or equivalent)
- Auditor qualification in a relevant scheme.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a Marine Science, Fisheries Technology, Biology or other science related studies.
- Lead Assessor
- A knowledge of the Seafood Industry and Auding Experience of Seafood Schemes.
- Experience within a Certification Body Preferred but not essential.
- Analytical approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
- Management level experience.
- Well organised with the ability to plan and schedule work effectively.
- A good level of spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated experience with farmed and wild species (preferred not essential).
- Understanding and knowledge of the NSF programs and systems (preferred not essential).
- Previous audit experience within one of the Seafood Schemes such as BAP/BSP, ASC, MarinTrust, MSC, GlobalGap Aqua, etc
