Summary
We are currently looking for two Pensions Officers to join our Pensions Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated pensions professionals, ideally with previous NHS Pensions experience.
You will be responsible for day-to-day pensions administration and to provide an excellent pensions service to Trust staff on all pension matters.
It is essential that you have good computer skills with previous experience of using the NHS Pensions Online (POL) and Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Oracle system.
You will need to be numerate, organised, self-motivated and be able to manage your own workload, with minimal supervision.
The Pensions team are based at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, but there is the opportunity for remote working, where some days can be worked at home.
Working within the Pensions team you will support the Pensions Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the Trusts pension service.
You will be required to provide information on all pension matters to Trust staff, administer pension records to ensure accurate and timely data is provided to NHS Pensions Agency and scheme members on request, update records on Pensions Online (POL) and NEST system in line with scheme regulations and procedures, and be responsible for calculating pensions figures to facilitate the accurate payment of pensions to retiring employees.
You will need to possess a strong customer service ethic and the ability to deal confidently and professionally with queries from Trust employees regarding their pension.
You will be expected to have a good understanding of all NHS pension schemes.
