Summary
Room Makers in Blackpool are recruiting for Fitted Interiors Installer. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Furniture Occupations which will take approximately 24 months to complete.
Duties:
• Learn and develop skills in cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials to create bespoke cabinetry.
• Assist in the construction of custom-built cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, and other furniture pieces.
2. Material Selection and Preparation:
• Prepare and process materials for use in cabinetry projects, ensuring accuracy and quality.
3. Finishing and Assembly:
• Learn techniques for sanding and finishing cabinetry to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.
4. Maintain a Safe and Organised Workshop:
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
5. Continuous Learning and Development:
• Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance joinery skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in cabinetry and joinery.
Requirements:
• Live in the area or able to commute to Blackpool FY2 easily.
• Strong practical skills and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Good mathematical skills for accurate measuring and cutting.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Grades:
There are no formal qualifications required.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm. 1 hour unpaid break. 39 hours per week
