Permanent Role - Area Planning Teams (Career grade Scale 6 - PO2)

We are looking for a permanent member of the Area Planning Teams that will be instrumental in transforming the Borough and opportunities available for residents.

In this role you will deal with planning applications covering a wide range of planning issues. You will be required to have had experience within a similar role dealing with a range of application types. You will need to show you can act on your own initiative and work with minimal supervision with an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised individual. You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of planning applications, pre-applications requests and appeals.

For these positions the right candidates will have range of previous Development Management Experience.

In terms of the permanent post, we are seeking for these positions an officer to be able to fulfil the requirements set out in the attached JD / PS. Any applicant should identify what level of the Career Grade Post they are applying for.

Fixed Term Position (PO2)

We are also looking for a fixed term (12 month) to assist in the comprehensive retrofit programme to improve carbon efficiency measures and energy savings across the RBG Housing Estate. This will include retrofit works and heat pump schemes.
