Summary

The School of Architecture and Landscape at the University of Sheffield is seeking to appoint an Agency Fellow for the Graham Willis Endowment-funded Agency initiative. This brand-new fixed-term post, will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, policy-relevant, civic-oriented, and interdisciplinary environmental research that has the capacity to shape distinctive architectural pedagogy.

We welcome applications from researchers working on social and environmental issues with backgrounds in architecture, urban design, humanities, social sciences, engineering, or sciences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the role, gain research experience, develop leadership skills, work in an interdisciplinary setting, and engage with decision-makers to amplify Agency’s impact and identify new research questions.

This is a Grade 7 (Research Associate) position, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge research initiative of significant strategic interest to the University. The Agency leadership, comprising senior staff at the School of Architecture and Landscape, will provide mentoring and career development support for the post holder.

The post is full-time, based in Sheffield, fixed term for 2 years and ideally commences in October 2024.
