Summary

The School of Architecture and Landscape at the University of Sheffield is seeking to appoint a Visiting Practice Fellow funded by the Graham Willis Endowment. This brand-new fixed-term post will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, policy-relevant, civic-oriented, and interdisciplinary environmental education that has the capacity to shape distinctive architectural pedagogy.

We welcome applications from practitioners working on social and environmental issues with backgrounds in architecture, urban design or landscape architecture. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the role, gain research-led teaching experience, develop leadership skills and work in an interdisciplinary setting.

This is a Grade 7 (practice research-led teaching) position, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge initiative of significant strategic interest to the University. Senior staff at the School of Architecture and Landscape, will provide mentoring and career development support for the post holders.

The hours are flexible and can be organised with supervisors to suit specific initiatives and teaching activities. Delivery and teaching contact time can be arranged in blocks in accordance with programmes of study and activities. Preparation, planning, development and organisation work can be undertaken remotely if required.
