Summary
Be responsible for the strategic direction of the team within the pharmacy portfolio of licensed medicines, unlicensed medicines and medicines homecare services, quality assurance of medicines, services and suppliers lead on legislative changes impacting public procurement with the introduction of the Procurement Act 2023 and subsequent legislation coming onto force during 2024 promote and support the development and implementation of efficient and consistent working practices across the organisation, leading on continuous improvement of procurement processes. develop a strategic plan for the organisation for the next 3-5 years taking into account the requirements of the consortia members, national plans and initiatives in the NHS and the wider public procurement arena. agreeing annual workplans and providing written updates to the consortia members on progress of workplans and against the strategic plan. develop and manage innovative projects and complex specifications to support the consortia member requirements develop effective customer, supplier, network relationships strategies facilitate successful collaboration between multiple organisations, at a national, regional and local level. reflect and represent Hub and customer views in national forums possess excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills be a skilled problem solver and negotiator have category and market knowledge of clinical services provide senior level advice and expertise in all areas of procurement activity, including highly complex areas which involve detailed and developed category and legislative knowledge Further details found in the attached job description.
